Farm Journal – Week of
24th May to 30th May 2015
Since our fig tree died back again this spring we decided to remove it. Its removal will make more room for my container garden.
After cutting down the dead limbs David tried to dig up the roots.
What he could not dig up we covered with a thick rubber mat to discourage new growth.
The peas, having reached the end of their production cycle, were removed as well and the ground was prepared for tomato plants.

We also went to Catawba this week
We put in our potatoes about 3 weeks ago.
Wednesday we cut grass, checked potato plants for bugs, planted black-eye pea plants and seeded corn.
