David put in four rows of sweet corn several weeks ago at Catawba. Unfortunately, most of it has become infested with corn smut. For more information about corn smut check out this web site.

After whacking down the corn stalks, left from the first rotation of corn, and cutting down the first rotation of black-eye pea plants, David cut down the buckwheat, which was growing between the corn, and tilled the top section of our plot in preparation for a cover crop of winter rye.

David finally planted the cabbage.

He was very pleased with the seedlings that I had started in soil blocks.
